Nicaragua Surf Report for Monday, April 06, 2009

Buenos dias a todos, good morning everybody this is Roberto “Lucha Libre” Garcia bringing you the Monday surf report.  Today I headed out up north super early to the NSR Beach House and this is what I found on the way there.  Sweet, isn’t it?

When I first got there the waves were really inconsistent, running about waist to chest high on sets but as soon as the tide comes in it got a little bit better.  The wind was offshore and the water was warm and clear.  Check it out!!!

The crew staying at the NSR Beach House hired me for a few days during this week.  They were so stoked because they knew that they were going to make it on.  On the first shot of the crew we have John “El Jefe” taking one of the better set waves of the day.

His son Robert wanted to be part of the show as well, so he paddled out on his sponge and was able to catch a couple of fun ones.  Check him out having fun on this little nugget.

On the next shot we have Tylor riding this beautiful right all the way in to the beach.  He’s only 18 years old and now he has the honor to say that he surf one of the better spots we have down here in Nicaragua.

Tom was killing it on that thing today.  He’s 55 years old and he is still charging.  Here we have a shot of him bottom turning this left with a sweet style.

The lineup was a little bit busy today but pretty mellow.  There were a few guys out from Daytona Fl taking advantage on some fun waves.  Here is one of them with a cool off the top on this wave.

A few local kids were trying to do their thing out there as well.  This is Martin “El Chichicaste” Lopez from gigante looking down the line.

That’s all for today folks, we are expecting to have a new swell in the next few days so stay tuned with us.
