Nicaragua Surf Report for Sunday, April 05, 2020

Brian Scott

Welcome to the Sunday surf report. We had some nice clear water with waves in the chest high range and warm offshore winds this morning. Come see!

Brian Scott

Incredible conditions once again. Although the swell has dropped quite a bit, we’re supposed to be getting some new swell tomorrow. Surfline’s calling it 5-8, so we’ll see?

Brian Scott

Until then, Chris is always game for some hollow barrels. Maybe tomorrow or the next day he’ll be standing tall in one of these aqua-green cylinders!

Brian Scott

Looks like Jenny’s ready for the big tubo season as well.

Brian Scott

Working every day on her backside pig-dog stance like this… imagine what she’ll be conquering out there if she keeps her practicing up!

Brian Scott

Flako man, Big Scott is looking fit. I think him and Jenny have changed up their diets and are in serious mode for some really fun surfing together this season.

Brian Scott

They might be the new improved surfing dynamic duo of Colorados!

Brian Scott

Hey Lindsey… good to see you out with the family for Sunday Funday. Watcha see out there…???

Brian Scott

Ahhhh, that would be Mr. Chris getting ready to attack this little nugget with his backside hack-attack!

Brian Scott

I’m excited to see Josh return from all his adventurous surfing jobs around the globe and what he’ll bring back to his home break once the swell starts cranking.

Brian Scott

Until then, it looks like he’s just cruising and having fun; but make no doubt about it, when the south pacific starts sending us some of them purple blobs, he’ll be out there amongst all his local comrades who love big big barrels!

Brian Scott

Sunday Funday, well petty much every day here is a funday. Today just happens to be Sunday and it rhymes nicely.

Brian Scott

A lot of us here are eerily reminded of how this place was 10 or 12 years ago. Not in a bad way… not if you like a somewhat empty lineup. Lindsey here, enjoying the quiet lineup which gives her lots and lots of room to go for as many waves as she wants. Something that’s not always easy to do normally even in April.

Brian Scott

First off, I gotta say…. how’s that water color??? Insane right! John G was getting the best waves of the morning. Check out these few slides of a few of his best ones that I happened to see.

Brian Scott

Not too big and scary (yet) but John knows exactly where every set wave will roll in.

Brian Scott

Now all he needs is these things to be about 3 times this size and he’ll be happy as a a grom….

Brian Scott

Well, he’s already happy as a grom, EVERY DAY!!!

Brian Scott

Right about when I said to myself, it might be time to pack it up and go get the computer side of the reporting done, those stiff offshore winds turned up a few notches and I said, yup, better go and get that indoor (non-fun) stuff done, so maybe I can make it back down for evening session in time.

Brian Scott

I’m just gonna leave you with this, Makable, maybe if you’re Filipe Toledo or someone of that speed and driving capability. None-the-less, beautiful… ABSOLUTELY!!! Thanks for stopping by ~
