Nicaragua Surf Report for Monday, April 04, 2022

Brian Scott

Happy Monday folks! Tis a new week and it was a beautiful morning. Waves are back down in the waist high range, but the waters warming back up and the winds were light offshore. Not a bad way to start off the week, eh!

Brian Scott

Big John J, with the first wave of the morning and still waking up, so he was going for the Greg Louganis as apposed to pulling into that speedy little freight rain.  I give it an 8!  Hahaha

Brian Scott

Believe it or not, he actually miraculously grabbed his boards in the turbulence and came out to pull this off! He’s very Houdini like that!

Brian Scott

Papa NAM out was before his wakeup time… but frothing on the little mini bugs that were on tap this morning.

Brett, my amigo who’s been here for a couple months now, sadly is leaving end of this week. I sure hope we get a nice bump in swell for a nice send off for him. I am going to really miss him as he has been my eyes for the lasts two or so months. The good thing about todays waves were they were prefect for the newbies (something he’s not) but for anyone wanting to up their “huevos” in their barrel game, today you can practice on every wave (since they were all pretty much closing out) on pulling in and getting pounded with a lot less consequence than when the waves have a bit more beat down factor!

New season =’s New Season TOYS!!! Yewwwww, nice new whip Mikey!

Brian Scott

Fun little music fact for the day, to go with this epic bottom turn with Chris’s boat out the back. One of my old buddies back in the states who I’ve been on lots of surf trips with and surfed almost every day with, his Pops wrote the song “Rock the Boat”, and to add to that, his great uncle was the legendary Bing Crosby.

Brian Scott

Brett rocking this wave, which I’m sure sent shockwaves to Chris’s boat anchored outside!

Brian Scott

Remember, it’s all an illusion.

Brian Scott

All of it!  ;)

Brian Scott

Where there’s no illusion, just tube time cover up views like here. . . Mr. Josh getting slotted instead of everyone else normal morning Java Fix!

Brian Scott

Small, but about as perfect conditions-wise as it get’s! Now if we can just add about 4-6 feet on these waves, we’ll all be in heaven! Don’t worry…. heaven (aka our paradise) is on it’s way…. soon!!! Cheers amigos ~
