Nicaragua Surf Report for Sunday, April 01, 2012

Hi everyone, this is Miguel Mora bringing you the first surf report for this month.  We when to the beach in the morning trying to catch some fun waves.  It was running about chest to shoulder head high on sets with a little strong onshore winds and the water was cold.  Check out the lineup!!!

On the first surfing shot of the day we have our very good friend Mark he was getting some fun waves with his bit long board.  Check him out looking good dropping in on this nice left hander, one of the bigger waves that he caught today.

When we arrived to the beach this morning we found a couple locals doing their things.  This is Larry “Carita de Venado” Davila riding on this little wave trying to maintain inside on this small barrel.

Today we when to the beach with my friend D- Lite he was ripping all over the place.  Check him out throwing some buckets on this little nugget.  Good job dude!

What about Rex “La Bestia” Calderon he was killing and flying every single wave this morning.  Look at him with a cool from side air on this closed out session.

We had a few guys with their boggy boards having fun.  Here we have one of them dropping in on this clean and peeler left hander, one of the many waves that he caught.

That’s all for me today but stay tuned for more photos from up north a bit later.

Thanks for the report from down south Miguel. Hi guys this is Juancito "el duende rey de la yucca panda" bringing the NIca surf action to you from a little ways to the north. Up here today the waves still had some more size...head high to well overhead. It has dropped since yesterday but the breaks seem to be working a little better. The locals guys were out and were shredding in full force.

The surf season has started and we have a lot of visitor of different places of the world. Check out this guy enjoying his vacations together with us.

Here we have Zac form iguana beach enjoying this pretty day and  show us a little of his abilities.

This is Carlitos ''Tubaestro'' dropping in this big wave. This shot is the first before dropping in to an awesome barrel. Check the sequence.

Shot #2

Shot #3. We are skipping shots here. He was in there for a while.

Shot #4

Shot #5 This is the last shot of the sequence and Carlitos won this barrel battle and made it out - good job Carlitos.

Lester and the rest of the local guys were keeping the control into the water and show us their abilities. Sick one Lester.

For the wipeout of the day we have Oscar "De la Joya". It looks like he is trying to turn this spill into a body surf barrel.

Lester gets props today for putting everything into this turn. All the young Nica surfers here are really beginning to rip. It helps to have perfect waves in your back yard.

We'll leave you today with this parting shot of the beach showing off some fresh squeezed juice. Check with us tomorrow for more "accion de la playa".
