Nicaragua Surf Report for Monday, March 30, 2020

Brian Scott

Happy Monday folks! Who’s ready for a new week of happy surfing and waves? I’m hoping we can bring you a much needed dose of cyber vitamin D and maybe some salt water hydrotherapy via our surf imagery. Click that read more button if that’s ok with you!

Brian Scott

BIG Scott saying…. “HEY EVERYBODY” from a very obvious safe and social distance, but with a heartfelt smile that says, I think we all know we’ve got each others back right now!

Brian Scott

You know who’s got some back…, maybe some baby back ribs, or maybe some seriously sick backside hack attack-age??? Kevin Cortez, that’s who!!! Go a head, you try and throw some buckets this size and get right back to me.

Brian Scott

The afternoon sessions have been looking the best, as of lately. Of course this all can change from day to day or month to month. It’s all pretty much determined by mother nature.

Brian Scott

Has been as long as I’ve been living here.

Brian Scott

Looks like the red tide might be coming to an end, hopefully? I guess we’ll see once the water temps get back to normal. Until then, I know Koji’s cutbacks won’t be anything normal if he keeps killing it out there!

Brian Scott

Where’s Waldo? Or in this case where’s Yani? Or better yet, he’s wondering where’s Brian??? Sooooo super psyched to see (from a very long distance) that my long lost brother Yani has returned from Israel. Let’s catch up soon brother, once this quarantine thing is over!

Brian Scott

How’s your nose riding been going? Here’s how it’s been going down here.

Brian Scott

It’s almost nostalgic seeing people surfing right now (at least on the inner webs). Who would have ever thought surfing would be reduced to a 15 year long surf report for getting your surfing fix?

Brian Scott

Lucky we are…. ABSOLUTELY!!! But make no mistake, we’re as diligent about safety as John is about getting his 12 o’clock spot on!

Brian Scott

Nicaragua is an amazing and beautiful place. The most famous people to hail from this country (aside from maybe some professional baseball players) would be the wave sliding club. Believe me when I say, Nicaragua has some of the best surfers in the world. Then again, we have some of the best waves on the planet!

Brian Scott

Coming through? Going down? Can I order a ham sandwich while I hang ten on this wave…. I think all the above statements would work for this image.

Brian Scott

Have you ever heard that surfing is pretty much like the fountain of youth???

Brian Scott

Trust me when I say…. believe the hype!

Brian Scott

We take our instagram posting very serious here! But then again we have some of most epic sunsets on the planet!

Brian Scott

If this water is ever gonna go back to normal again… there’s only one person who can fix that. HOT CARL!!!

Brian Scott

Don’t be fooled into thinking we’re only a surfers paradise. Body surfers can froth just as hard here too!

Brian Scott

We’ve even got a lil’ bit of soul to add to the Latin flavor mix.

Brian Scott

Never too late for a behind the scenes or in this case curtain call.

Brian Scott

I pride myself in bringing you such average surf photos that I can photoshop into making you think this place is way better than it really is. This wave was actually only 1-2 feet at best. Carl is super pasty white (not as tan as he looks in this image) and his cutback was copy and pasted from another shot from another day.

Brian Scott

Rutci, the only gal out tonight. I think this place just went back 10-15 years in women’s surfing history for Nicaragua.

Brian Scott

Cesar aka "Stop'n'Go" groceris, has one of the only few “Essential” markets open here without having to run to Rivas to for your essential goods. Hats off to all the people the world over providing us all with food, drinks and necessities while we all try to stay put.

Brian Scott

This comment won’t make much sense to most of you, unless you’re here a lot or know the man himself, at least while he was here; but Gavin Potter @gavstar_308 would certainly approve of this goofy footed slash-back from Carl Caliente!!

Brian Scott

What your stoke level should look like when you ride your surfboard all the way into the sand… every time!

Brian Scott

SOOO Who’s ready for Tuesday??? I know we are! Thanks for always keeping up with us as your digital connection for your favorite Central American surf report. I’ll be down there again tomorrow. If you’re down there, I’ll keep an eye out for you! Dale pues ~
