Nicaragua Surf Report for Friday, March 24, 2017

Hola amigos y feliz viernes!! This is Parker welcoming you to the surf report for Tola region of Nicaragua. There are a few leftovers remaining so kill a few minutes in your office and check it out!

I’m biased to shooting photos in the morning while the winds, crowds, and light are right. John Gillem doesn’t mind that schedule- he’s out anyways cross stepping through the morning.

After the racey section, the face awaits. While his buddy Taylor Jensen holds it down in the real world, John is showing off some style, finesse, and Jimmy Dean biscuits in NICA Land.

Conditions were small and rippable today. Taking out a fish or groveler would not have been a bad idea.

This muchacho was getting out to practice his cutbacks. I’ve never seen a face so happy while digging a rail. Props to this guy and he’ll be sticking ‘em soon!

The last swell we had was super fun! Tons of breaks up and down the coast were lighting up. Looking ahead, have you seen the forecast for the beginning of April??? Fingers crossed to see what King Neptune actually sends our way…

*Cue in to turn on the light bulbs.* I have an idea... you go right and I'll go left!!!

A couple lefts were coming through Stella’s peak. It can be a tough wave to read and figure out, but when you get a screamer, it makes it all worth. In the meantime, work on squeezing into the face almondy tube.

Or be like John: launch an alley oop off the lip. Unfortunately, the camera’s trigger got stuck so I missed the rest of the sequence… You’ll have to take my word it happened.

I love the rights this beach offers! The sand is getting groomed and should be ready for some tubes in the next couple of swells.

Sometimes those rights don't love you though. Without setting a high line and building speed, those rights can be frustrating.

Ok damas and caballeros, it’s lunch time in Nicaragua. That means I’m going to woof down a quick bite then go surf a fun dropping tide session. Thank you guys for checking out today’s report and we hope you have a good weekend! Hotsticks is out.
