Nicaragua Surf Report for Sunday, March 20, 2011

Lucha is here one more time, with the surf report from up north.  We checked out a few spots today and we got to find this one.  Nice peeler left with no takers, it seems pretty nice to me and it might go off with a right swell and tide.  There were some head high waves on sets, but the winds were struggling offshore.  Check it out!!!

As known, I’ll be the whole week up north to snap a couple of cool photos of a nice crew from the States.  On the first shot of this crew we have Craig dropping into a nice but windy left hander on his backside.

Sandy went out on his bogieboard in the afternoon and got to catch some nice ones.  Check him out charging on this one.  Whoooo, what a 60 year old man can do.  You got my respect buddy!

Peter got to score some of the better waves of the day.  Here he is caught with a small but cool slash.

The last member of the crew for today’s report  is Chris.  He hasn’t been surfing in a while but today he took a huge panga out and picked up a few fun rides.

A few other buddies were out, having a good time in the uncrowded lineup.  This is Mike from Popoyo snapping a little section.

Even the beach was not busy today, this buddy and I were hanging out together.  Nice colors on this thing, uh!  By the way we called it Urraca.

This guy was charging on his giant panga.  Here he is stepping up to the nose to keep that board stable.  Good job pal!

The winds were strong enough to make fly a 9’0 longboard like nothing.  We gotta make sure there is not any ding on that board D-licito!

A bunch of local guys were ripping it up all over the place, as always.  Mario is caught here witha sweet frontside move.

NSR is all over the place, down here in Nicargua, don't you believe me?  Check out the sticker this dude got on his board.  Pretty nice one, uh!

The last shot of the day goes to Miles with a killer off the top on this riht.   We hope the winds die a bit tomorrow so we can score better surf.
