Nicaragua Surf Report for Thursday, March 19, 2020

In these times of crisis we need to come together (figuratively) and take care of one another. We will continue to do our part by bringing you a healthy distraction from the daily news with some nice pics from Nica.

While surfing pales in importance to the serious matters such as worldwide pandemics and family safety, we believe surfing and the ocean is therapeutic and for that reason we carry on.

We are between swells now but there are still waves on tap. Here's a nice stretched out waist high right.

With the consistent off shore winds we can always find a nice bit of FaceTime with these Nica waves.

Here is a nice little left, when there are only two people in the lineup it sure is easy to maintain a healthy distance between your fellow surfers.

After catching as many waves as he could this surfer decided it was time for some breakfast, and just like that the lineup was empty.

So I decided to make like a bird and fly down to Panga to see if there was anyone in the water down that way.

As my luck would have it there were 2 guys out in the water and one more getting ready to paddle out to join them.

When the waves are like this it's nice to have a little extra foam under the feet. Here at Panga there are always waves, here's a nice little right to cruise.

Sweet backside spray off the lip, and the wave behind is looking pretty juicy as well.

I thought for a second that I duplicated the last photo but realized it is a different wave, this surfer just has his style and moves down in such a way that I needed a double take.

Well that's all folks, I gotta run like the chica here. Remember to wash your hands, maintain social distance, and that teamwork makes the dream work so please be careful, practice good hygiene and exercise common sense about Covid-19. Cruise back tomorrow to check out Brian's sweet shots in Friday's surf report.
