Nicaragua Surf Report for Tuesday, March 18, 2008

Alright folks, today we are leaving town and heading out to Managua to spend the night up there and fly out to Panama early in the morning. So, we went early to the beach and see what the swell is doing. It's pretty small but there are still some rideable waves for longboard, the wind is offshore and the water is warm. Check it out.

It's small so everybody took the day off and was doing other kind of activities. Here is Robbin doing her thing on the beach.

Nobody made it out just Luis "La Baloy" to practice some moves on the small waves. Here he is with a cool round house.

Alright folks, Lucha Libre will be later with you covering the trip to Panama.

Hi everybody, it's Lucha Libre with the coverage of the trip to Panama. Today we finally went out around 11:00 am from San Juan del Sur to Managua. We have to make a stop in Rivas to take the surfers from Las salinas with us and have something to eat. Check out where we are right now driving up to Rivas.

We got to Rivas about 12:25 pm and met the guys from Las Salinas. Everybody was hungry and so excited for the trip but we had to eat very fast because we had to be in Managua at 3:30 because we had to introduce the Nicaraguan National Team to all the sponsors. Anyway let's talk about good thing, check out the whole crew having lunch at Pizza Hot in Rivas.

After 2 hours driving from Rivas we finally made it to Managua just in time. Here is the National Surf Team posing for the camera and keeping the memories. We have 4 juniors (Rex, Darwin, Junior and Larry), 4 Open (Augusto, Luis, Mario, Roque and Samir) and 2 ladies (Ashley and Elsy). We hope to have a good trip and hopefully we are going to score some good waves in Panama. God willing!!!

There were a couple of interviews today where we were introducing the Nicaraguan Surf Team. Here we have Larry "Carita de Venado" trying to explain what he feels participating in this contest.

We were tired and hungry for the long trip from San Juan del Sur and everybody was feeling it, specilty "La Baloy". Here he seconds away after dinner.

We finally made it to Kalua Cafe & grill to have a sick dinner after a long day driving around. We want to say thank so much to Karina and staff for support the National Team and give us a special price for dinner. We really appreciated and we recommend the food in this place. Alright folks, Lucha will be back tomorrow with the coverage of the trip so stay tuned with us.
