Nicaragua Surf Report for Thursday, March 17, 2011

Welcome to our daily surf report.  We are the NSR family bringing you all the action straight to your computer at your office, wherever you are.  The waves were super fun this morning, running about chest to shoulder head high on sets, the winds were a little strong and the water was chilly.  Check out the lineup!!!

On the first shot of the day we have our new friend Sabrina “La Hechicera” she took ride to the beach with us this morning and getting some surf lesson with our friend and very good teacher Oliver “El Monito” Solis.  Check it out!

When we arrived to the beach today we found a few local surfers pudding some block on their faces just second to paddle out and catching some fun waves.

Tons of locals and a few international dudes were out having a good time, but we have to say that the ladies were commanding the lineup.  Here we have Sabrina from Canada just one hour after the received some surf lesson.  Check her out looking good dropping in on this small but super fun wave.

Today we had a lot of people in the water trying to get some waves.  But also we had this guy walking around the beach sing and playing his guitar.

Here we have Danny he was catching a lot of waves this morning.  Check him out riding on this peeler left hander.

The locals were doing their things as always.  This is Larry “Carita de Venado Tierno” Davila destroying the lip of this closed out section.

On this shot we have the Champion for the last surf contest we had at Playa Hermosa.  This is Rex “La Bestia” Calderon with a cool sequence about 360 maneuvers.  Check it out.

The lineup was a little busy today, we had about 15 or 18 surfers in the water had fun.  Here we have one of them ripping on top of this little nugget.

On the last shot of the day we have Gainer “La Ranita” Granados with a cool bottom turn on this nice sized wave.  Alright folks that’s all for today.  We hope to have some better waves tomorrow.  Please check back with us!

Meanwhile up the coast a ways Intern and New NSR Photog Eric "El Lampazo" Moore was mopping up the action with Chris, Jenny and Miles. Here is Jenny getting the hang of the right at this spot.

Her husband Chris was able to work this one to the inside for a final maneuver in the soup.

Here is miles peeling and roasting the bananafish just like they do in da islands.
