Nicaragua Surf Report for Wednesday, March 16, 2016

Hello everybody and welcome to the Humpday surf report with NSR! This is Parker bringing you today's shots from up north. Take a few minutes and check out our session.

Nacho, the resident frontside tube hound, wanted to join today's dawn patrol. Check out his wave!

While you're looking for him, check out what's outside... Sets came in groups of five to seven waves so everybody worked up a breakfast appetite.

Yeww!! Freedom hermano! Nice wave, Nacho.

Next up in the seven wave set: the CSO of the EMHEC. Unfortunately, our bylaws prevent us from revealing their specific Chief names unless we are surfing our homebreak. You'll have to wait two months until Roger returns from his vacation.

We found out today is Roger's birthday so feliz cumpleanos amigo!! I'm glad you still surf like you're 31!

While we were hooting and chatting in the line up, we saw other spots showing potential. This SW swell has some power behind it.

Other spots, like a morning coffee, read, and view, were a little safer to try by yourself. Nothing beats a morning snooze in one of the hammocks or chairs here.

Mike wasted zero time on his pre work session. He has this spot wired so his surfing showed no errors.

Nacho caught a juicy right. He stole a trick out of Turbo's book and broke out the soul arch. Nacho won't need a filter for this photo on Instagram, right Turbo?

Some styled down the face while others held on for dear life. The take off can be steep and critical so do what you need to do to stick the drop. The 200 yards of face are waiting for you afterwards...

Here is Nacho burning off Ryan's tacos last night. He packed a handful of turns into this roller.

Here is another view of the break we surfed (after the winds picked up). Beach front properties are epic but there's something to be said for a secluded mansion in the mountains.

Changing gears (because it's almost lunch time), Ryan Cook's Vana Tacos opened last night. If you're in the bumping Hacienda Iguana metro centro, swing by for a delicious taco. We have a couple shots to prep your stomach so check them out!

I ordered a combo: two beef tacos with a side of gallo pinto and a Tona to wash it down. The chicken tacos were also heavenly!

They weren't any good... I want a refund Ryan!!!! They were amazing and I almost bought another full round...

A few days ago, a good friend, Grant, moved back down to Nicaragua. We're stoked to see you back and keep holding down the grilling department!

I told Nacho that he would have an early morning wake up call so he needed to fuel up. Whether it's liquid bread or meaty tacos, he needed the energy for today's surf.

Congrats to you and your pit crew, Ryan! Best of luck with your new taco joint in the commercial center. I will be back for more yummy tacos and you should too. Thank you all for checking out today's report and we'll see you tomorrow!!
