Nicaragua Surf Report for Monday, March 15, 2021

Brian Scott

Welcome to the Monday surf report chicos! It’s a new week and a new swell is gracing out lineups… so you’re in for a nice little treat of photo goodness for todays happenings. Enjoy ~

Today - on a Nica-Land scale, I would give todays waves a 7.5, maybe 8. I can only say this with assurance because I’ve watched these waves for almost a decade now pretty much daily and I know when its a solid 10. However, I know this would certainly be a 12 at most of your daily regular surf spots. But that’s why we always welcome and enjoy you to some visit the emerald coast. Where the waves are a 7 but look better than half the surf spots on the WCT event destinations.

You can just call us super lucky… or blessed whichever your preference of inner spiritual being you choose to be. This unknown kid is stoked, that’s all I know!

I wanted to get down there early before the nuclear winds got on it. Here you can see the outer sea already getting blistered up by the offshores. but this inside drainer still has some glassiness to it!

Brian Scott

There was definitely some size with this new swell. I hope it continues on for tomorrow too!

Brian Scott

If so, the people who are here now are scoring and stoked to be in the land of offshore waves all day every day.

I often sometimes ponder and think…. maybe one day I’ll go back to shooting video. Which was what I did for many years a long time ago in a past life. But, I always still to this day, appreciate a great surf shot over a bunch of cumbersome video clips that have to be culled, edited, and uploaded (which with Nica’s Wifi standards is completely horrible - at least for high file size clips). I’ll just stick to my favorite which is epic time frozen images and the classic photograph that always stands the test of time!

Brian Scott

Picturesque…. 100% still frame or video clip.

Brian Scott

The water shots of today would have been pure magic…. Ricky… where ya at today brother???

Brian Scott

Here’s a grand view pulled back super sick perspective of our scale 7 of a day here at Colorados. You like paddle out????

Brian Scott

The low tide was making the barrels really racy and hard to manage, so it was all about speed lining it and going for something big at the close out end section. This hombre is flaring hard with this sick snap, crackle and pop top turn.

Brian Scott

If we were to have any kind of board meetings here, this would be considered, business casual; at best! Jajaajaaa

Brian Scott

Aaaaaand this is just your standard business AS USUAL!

Brian Scott

All play here, almost like working for Google, or Facebook, but we have a tier of office personal that extend all the way from CEO type executives that trickle all the way down to the temps and new hires.

Brian Scott

If you wanna move up in this company, you have to prove yourself and show no fear whatsoever!

Brian Scott

This kid’s definitely going places in this company!!! LOL

Brian Scott

When your shift is over, it’s almost always tradition to say audios to the day at the office and give thanks and of course give one more look before you come back for your next shift!

Brian Scott

Looks like the office emptied out…. haha maybe there was a fire drill or something???? Who leaves these kinds of waves while they’re draining out and firing…. people who are here, that’s who. That’s the sad, but brutal reality of this place and how empty and perfect this 2021 season is going to be. UGH!!!! my heart hurts just to think about it. All I have is one word for you…… AVIANCA. It’s your 100% sure bet to sitting right there in that lineup there this season. I hope to see you down here soon…!!!!! Dale pues ~
