Nicaragua Surf Report for Saturday, March 15, 2008

I'm Lucha Libre with the saturday surf report from out here at Maderas. Today we headed out early in the morning to the beach to catch a couple of fun and uncrowd waves. It's running about chest to shoulder high on sets, the wind is offshore and the water is warm. Check out the lineup.

Today many of the local surfers made it out, including the guys who are going to Panama the next week. All of them are practicing hard to get a good standing in this championships. Here is "La Baloy" doing his thing.

Young Rex "La Bestia" Calderon was able to practice for a few hours today too. Here he is going big with his 360's aerial moves.

"La Gaviota" Chamorro was doing his thing too and was trying to add some other maneuvers to his repertory. Check him out with a sweet backflip aerial move.

Larry "Carita de Venado" paddled out and was trying to do the best and working his style out. There he is with a kind of layback.

Roque "Balboa" Calderon is one of the local surfers who is going to Panama too. He's not at the top of the ranking because he was out for a couple national contest down here in Nicaragua but anyway he wants to represent his country and is going to participate in a eliminatory on friday and try to get a place for the main event on saturday and sunday.

Today we had a few fun sets coming in at Machete pt. Here is one of them with nobody on. What a pity!!!

Here is Oliver "El Mono" Solis taking one of the biggest set of the day. He's getting ready to fly out to Panama too next week as one of our judges.

We have Pedro "El Cacaste" Florez with the last shot of the day. Come Pan will be back tomorrow with you guys!!!
