Nicaragua Surf Report for Monday, March 13, 2017

Hello amigos!  A new week is upon us down here on the Emerald coast of Nicaragua!  We are still awaiting a small pulse of swell expected tomorrow.  Today we had some small, fast, and clean waves with almost nobody out surfing this break!

Parker and I decided to paddle out to give everyone some perspective on the conditions. We gave Jess the camera to capture the action… Here’s Parker pulling in on his backhand low and tight!

I’m not as big as Don Parker so it was easier for me to squeeze into the mini tubes that were offered! The tide was low and the waves were breaking in shallow waters right by the sand!

A few muchachos saw that Parker was pulling into barrels so they figured they’d come out and have some fun with us! There were a few peaks, with lefts and rights to be had so there was plenty of waves for all!

Some of the little inside grinders were breaking perfect! Just not quite big enough to stand up in!

Looking for something fun to do when the waves get small?  Come up to the NSR shop and rent one of our motorcycles!  Take a tour of the community and the surrounding areas!  Just take it easy and stay safe on these bad boys!

It would take some patience, but every now and then a random bomb would find its way in! This guy just happened to be in the money spot!

The low tide was providing some drainers! Every wave was wide open, only the rare gem was makable! Still fun to pull in and check the view!

Parker, looks like you had a front row seat for the wipeout of the day! This guy did a full summersault in the air when he got thrown!

If you got up and raced you might have been able to skip the barrel and try to get a turn in!

Like I said, Parker isn’t a little guy by any means, so if he can squeeze in, then you know there is a little bit of size on the wave!

It’s always worth it to pull in for a quick moment of tube time! Just don’t break your board when we have better waves on the way! Thanks a bunch for tuning in on the number one and longest running surf report in Nicaragua people! Check back tomorrow and see what’s happening! Catch you on the beach amigos!
