Nicaragua Surf Report for Sunday, March 08, 2009

What’s up folks, this is Jairo “Come Pan” Panic bringing all the news for the Sunday surf report.   We were hoping to score some waves at the beach today, but Mother Nature had other plans.  The strong winds and chilly water made it uninviting for most surfers, but we did manage to find a few brave souls in the water. Check out what we found today.

Not many people decided to spend the day on the beach because of the windy conditions. We saw people getting blasted with sand and carrying boards to the water was quite a mission. Leave your picnic basket at home unless you want a sand sandwich!!  So anyway, some of the locals took long boards expecting to get some waves.  Here we have “El Coraje” taking off on this small but sweet looking right.

Also, we had some internationals having fun on the beach even though the waves were small and the water was cold.  Here we caught these guys enjoying the beautiful day and sharing shots of Rum Flor de Cana.  That is a great way to spend the day buddy!!!

Here we have an unknown valiant rider, taking his chances in the cold water.  He scored a nice size left and is enjoying his time in Nicaragua!!!

Since the water is cold and there wasn’t too much surfing, Jorvin and our very own D-Lite decided to show the nice size fish that Jorvin caught. They were planning to fry it up and have a sweet BBQ on the beach!!!  Watch out for the sand boys!!

There weren’t many people out but this girl from Switzerland decided to be a chica salvaje and take her chances in the water.  We caught her waxing up her board and getting ready to score some waves.  We hope she doesn’t get cramps from the cold water.

We also got a sweet picture of Ulices “El Mechas” taking off on this nice looking left.  He is just learning how to surf and showing off his new skills. He made the smart decision to purchase a wetsuit for the cold water that we have been having.

For the last shot of the day, we have Brian showing everyone what there is to do in Nicaragua when the wind is strong, the waves are small and the water is cold.  No better idea than to grab a bottle of Flor de Cana and start the day off right.  The waves should be fun tomorrow, so please check back with us for more news and excitement on NSR!!!  Come Pan out!!!
