Nicaragua Surf Report for Sunday, March 06, 2022

Brian Scott

Welcome to the EXTRA SUPER SUNDAY FUNDAY Surf Report!!! To say it was a good day of waves would be a total understatement! Come on in and find out for yourselves just how awesome the surf was today ~

Brian Scott

Walking around the bend to see this and having the camera already to go made me extra stoked, as the set that came through was absolutely NUTSO!

Brian Scott

The swell bumped up substantially and everyone who was out yesterday (I just so happened to be in Rivas), but I heard yesterday was firing, so I was super eager to see how today faired to the waves from yesterday.

Cesar putting his exclamation Po!nt on this sweet long left!!!

Brian Scott

Kenny always waiting out the deep back for the bombs.

Brian Scott

The tides have been pretty extreme, so this was just a little before dead high. Jason here, making surfing look WAY TOO EASY on this high tide wave with A LOT of water moving around out there!

Brian Scott

Winds . . . died down to almost nothing, so as you can see the conditions were pretty sick!

Brian Scott

Here’s the same wave but completely different view looking back into the sun. Looks a bit more choppy and not as clean, but trust me, as the sun crept into that horizon mark it only got cleaner and cleaner.

Brian Scott

Toes on the nose and the perfect tapering wall for this exact kind of wave sliding fun.

Brian Scott

Mr. Baldo on a BOMB!

Brian Scott

Nice big hack towards the end hermano!

Brian Scott

A little bit of cross traffic for a Sunday, but this guy’s making do just fine!

Brian Scott

Chris on his marathon session. He later told me he surfed well into the dark after the sun went down. maybe about 45 min after. No wonder why? When it’s firing like this, you take full advantage!!!

Brian Scott

The higher tide usually has the water line or in this case the breaking part of the waves pushing in a lot closer to shore.

Brian Scott

Cesar almost dry docking it on this one coming all the way in.

What an Epic Sunday Funday my friends! I’m hoping to try and get out there early mañana, as I heard it was pretty epic then too! AND the tides perfect for morning OR evening time sessions. Come back and see tomorrow. Until then, buenas noches ~
