Nicaragua Surf Report for Friday, February 26, 2021

Brian Scott

Welcome weekend warriors!! Well, at least for all you hard working Mon through Friday savages… I greet you to the entrance of your 2 day R&R and hopefully today’s photos will help get things kicked off on the right foot! Enjoy ~

Brian Scott

Ummmmm….. can someone explain how I didn’t get the memo for todays surf meet up??? Haha Dude, there were like 10-12 people out and more kept coming just as quickly as the tide was filling in.

Brian Scott

I mean, yesterday it literally looked like this. Only 2 people out with the same conditions. However, I cannot lie, I did get a little intel that the reef may or may not have a few heads out and the surf was starting to look pretty decent.

Here’s a decent wave shot #1

AND here’s a decent wave shot #2

Brian Scott

You know that feeling when the wave pretty much carries you…. just sorta like lifts you up, almost giving you pacifically a “no-paddle” in wave. Yeah…. that feeling is real nice!!!!

Brian Scott

You know what else felt nice…. the water itself. So windy, yet so bloody hot in that midday sun. The water and how nice and cool it felt today was like taking a bath in a huge salt water bathtub; but with waves!

Brian Scott

This could be one of the funnest soft top photo I’ve taken. Well, or at least this kid was making it look about as fun as you could make it look like an actual shortboard, but man….. it’s still a soft top.

Brian Scott

Tati knows a thing or two about rolling out some flour, water and (what is it eggs???) to make some of the most authentic Italian food hands down in Hacienda Iguana. Maybe playing with all that dough helps her surfing creative side at the same time, while she eyeballs this tapering lip. Kinda like a wave tortellini…. haha ok, I’m no Italian, nor do I pose to be, so please don’t kill me over my goofy ass Italian food comparisons to surfing eh Tati!  Jaja  ;)

Brian Scott

Marcos always in the Obando reef zone!

Brian Scott

I’d say out of 10 to maybe possibly 15 people out there today was a good sight to see…. (something you will ALMOST NEVER EVER HEAR FROM ANY SURFER EVER) JAJAJAJA!

Brian Scott

Winds were so gnar gnar, it was engulfing the surfers never to be seen again!

Brian Scott

Haha, I kid, that last shot is also this kid, errrr excuse me, fine young man, Mr. Kevin Cortez. Back in action and ready for the season with his sticky icky icky attached to his boards, there’s no winds in Nica that will shut this guy down!!!!

Brian Scott

WHO’S UP NEXT??? Well, all I know is if the waves are like this again tomorrow around the same tide…. it’s definitely going to be really fun. I walked away from the waves actually as they were getting better. But that’s only because I had some other business to attend to. Let’s see how it looks mañana shall we?? See you all again on the flip-side for Saturday!
