Nicaragua Surf Report for Saturday, February 25, 2017

Carl NSR

Hello to all, welcome to NSR's daily surf update!  This is Eric, coming in with a late report for today.  Check out what was happening!

Carl NSR

Today, I took a ride with some new friends to a great wave nearby. A nice wedging lefthander with light onshore winds is what we found. Here is Eric with a solid frontside hack!

Here we have Mario playing around on his backhand! Mario and Eric are here visiting from Panama, they came to see if it is true that Nicaragua has offshore winds everyday... They weren't sold as they came on a rare occasion of onshore flows! Still had lots of fun waves for them though!

Jake was one of the only guys in the water when we showed up. He's originally from Virginia but has been living in northern, Costa Rica recently. He just couldn't take the wetsuit lifestyle anymore!

Carl NSR

Jake had this really nice quad, glass on fins shortboard! I wanted to give it a try but he was having too much fun with it! Maybe next week when you come stay with us Jake!

Carl NSR

Even though the winds were onshore, the wedge still had a few barrel sections showing up! The water was crystal clear, warm, and just perfect for a morning session!

Carl NSR

Mario was catching lots and lots of little rampy waves! He's used to surfing lots of frontside waves back home but had no trouble going left today!

Carl NSR

We got back to our home beach just in time for a quick sunset session! The waves were bigger here and almost nobody around. Eric and Mario had a good session all to themselves!

Carl NSR

Just before dark, Eric pushed Maricel into a few small ones to give here a quick lesson! Not a bad setting for a quick learning sesh!

Carl NSR

Thanks so much for checking in with us everybody! We'll be here tomorrow with a fresh report, straight from the beautiful coastline of Nicaragua! Adios mi amigos!
