Nicaragua Surf Report for Thursday, February 20, 2020

Javier Baldovinos

Hey surfers of the world, welcome to Thursday's surf report... the wind died down a lot today but the water was still a little messy.

Javier Baldovinos

A lot of the waves were breaking all over the place with several small peaks that disappeared and then reformed further down the line.

Javier Baldovinos

There was a little bit of current too on the inside.

Javier Baldovinos

It doesn't matter how deep you think you are, Panga Drops will always surprise you with an outside set.

Javier Baldovinos

This girl went for the first wave of the set, it was a good wave but check out the second wave... much better, no?

Javier Baldovinos

While the first wave of the set disapeared just like the ride of this surfer, she noticed the second wave behind, and a guy about to take it.

Javier Baldovinos

Big-round cutback with a lot of rail work and a big spray. This guy knows the unspoken rule of never catching the first wave of the set.

Javier Baldovinos

on the inside there were some smaller waves with better shape, but it's really hard to stay at the right spot.

Javier Baldovinos

There was a lot of paddling but not a lot of surfing... many times the surfers just couldn't take the waves.

Javier Baldovinos

Also many times were a set came without warning and sweeped everyone away from the lineup.

Happy Birthday to my Wonder Woman, the mother of (these 3) dragons, my best friend, my business partner, my accomplice in many, many projects. You are unique! Love you!

Javier Baldovinos

With these conditions there is not much fun in taking photos, I wish I could be in the water instead though but, it's time to pack and go celebrate with the Birthday Girl and the three dragons. Cheers!
