Nicaragua Surf Report for Tuesday, February 17, 2009

Hi folks, this is “Come Pan” Ramos bringing you all the action from out here at Playa Maderas.  Today we went out to the beach hoping to score some fun waves and we did.  It was running about chest to shoulder high on sets with offshore winds and the water was nice and warm.  Check it out!!!

A few ladies were out today in the lineup taking off on a couple of nice set waves.  This is an unknown girl going big on this right.

Other girls were just listening at her boyfriends on the beach because they wanted to learn how to surf.  Check out this chick how happy she looks on her first day out.  It is so nice to see that the guys are doing the impossible to take the girls out there.

Not many locals made it out to the beach today but at least we had “El Codo” Lopez taking some fun little waves on his softop board.  Here he is trying to get covered on this nugget.

Today Carlitos Calientes and I took Ben from the States to the beach because he wanted to learn how to surf.  He was really stoked because he brilliantly accomplishes his mission today.  Here he is with a solid stand up on this left.

Here we have a shot of Byron “EL Abuelo” Lopez bottom turning a nice looking left in front of the rocks at Machete Pt.  He was the only surfer out there so he killed every single wave that came through.

On the last shot of the day we have Lester “El Coyotito” Solis about to boost a big aerial.  This kid has been working on this move lately but it seems that it is hard for him to complete it.  We are expecting to have a push in the swell for the next two days so stay tuned with us.
