Nicaragua Surf Report for Wednesday, February 09, 2011

We’ve got Lucha Libre here with the Wednesday surf report.  The waves were still small this morning but pretty fun.  It was running about knee to belly high on sets, winds were nice offshore and the water was a bit chilly.  Check it out!!!

Yesterday, right after I went to the beach I had to drive up to Managua to pick up our very good friend D-litecito.  This morning he drove with us to the beach to get wet.  He wanted to test out his brand new board but the conditions were not the best for him so he has to wait until the waves get bigger.  At least he got to tag one of the best stickers in the world!

More than excited to be back down here, he paddled out on one of the many sick rental boards we have available.  Here he is high lining on this left to generate more speed.  You really need to have lot of experiences to know how to do that.  Welcome back buddy!

Bunch of local surfers made it out and they were shredding up, as always.  This is La Gaviota Chamorro going big with a cool frontside maneuver.

Felipe “El pipe” Chompipe was also doing his thing.  Here I caught him with a cool backside slash.

A few international dudes were out, and got to score some fun ones as well.  This is Rhody showing us a little bit of his skills on the shortboard.

Maybe a couple of you guys remember this kid, or maybe no.  This is Corey “El Mojo-Jojo” Jackson a couple of years older.  He used to live down here when he was about 12 years old but he had to go to the states and make some money.  Now he’s back and still rips!

David “La Pelusa” took out his longboard and was able to get into a few “BARRELS”.  Even if the camera wasn’t out there in the water he is showing us his style!

The last shot of the day goes to La Baloy Chamorro with his signature move.  The waves are supposed to stay about the same sized for the next day but we are expecting to have a new swell by the weekend.
