Nicaragua Surf Report for Sunday, February 08, 2009

Hi everyone and thanks you for joining us for the Sunday surf report.  This is Jairo “Come Pan” Panic bringing you all the action from out here at Maderas.  We went to the beach before dark hoping to score some fun waves to ride.  When we got there we found some really fun waves, it look like the new swell is pumping up today, it was running about chest to shoulder high with some occasional head high sets, the wind wasn’t strong offshore and the water is still cold.  Check out what we got today.

We are lucky to have some bigger waves in this time of the year because in February the waves are small and the wind is strong that make the water colder.  So today we had some lefts and rights with a good form breaking all over the place.  On this shot we have this empty but sweet left rolling in all the way to the beach with nobody on it.

The jellyfishes went away today and a couple of locals made it out to the beach.  They were able to paddle out and grab some bigger waves.  Rex” La Bestia” Calderon was out there taking some fun ones.  Here he is with this nice front side turn on this right.

It’s nice to meet a lot of people from different part of the world having a good time and enjoying the good surfing down here in Nicaragua.  This is Josh “El Latonsito" resting after a good surfing session with some of his friends.

The water was cold today but it wasns't any problem for Augusto “La Gaviota” Chamorro who was ripping it up all over the place.  Here we caught a shot of him with this cool maneuver on this nice wave.

A lot of people decided to spend the day on the beach and enjoy the beautiful day.  They were taking some sun and drinking some beers.  Today we met this crew of beautiful girls from Managua, who decided to spend the weekend on the beach,  take some tan and watch the surf action.  In this group shot we have: from left to right Angela, Daniela, Adriana, Rossana, Karla, Abril and Yao smiling for the Camera.  It was a pleasure to meeting you girls.

There were some PALE riders taking a bunch of waves and having a good day out there.  Here is one of them smacking this small but nice left.  This guy was happy to take his surfboard out and enjoyed to surf with some locals.

On the last shot of the day we had this unknown rider taking one of the best rights of the day.  Here he is setting up for a nice barrel. That’s all folks for today.  The waves will be fun tomorrow, so be sure to check back with us.  Come Pan out!!!!
