Nicaragua Surf Report for Monday, February 07, 2011

Remember that this year's Pitaya Festival is just about 2 weeks away!  Along with killer music and food, this year will include a surf contest at Playa Hermosa and a Stand-up Paddleboard race in SJDS.  Make sure you check it out.

Welcome to our daily surf report.  This is Lucha Libre here beginning the second week of February.  The surf was small but super fun this morning, running about knee to waist high on sets with nice offshore winds and the water was a bit chilly.  Check it out!!!

Since the surf was small, a couple of longboarders made it out and were killing it on the big pangas.  Here is caught this dude picking up a nice looking left.

Right before to paddle out it is always good to stretch your muscles because it’ll give you more flexibility.  Even if the waves are not big!

Juan “El Duendecito” Bustos took a ride with us to the beach and was able to score a few fun ones.  Check him out going big with a late take off on this little nugget.

This is Corey, he is staying with us at the NSR Head Quarters in San Juan del Sur.  This morning he took his SUP out and here he is just seconds from fun.

Corey was doing really well on that thing.  It is not easy to turn that board but he successfully caught some nice ones.  Nice job buddy!

When we got to the beach, this guy was the only local that was out taking advantage in the lineup.  Carlos trying to get some speed and make it through this fast section.

The last action shot of the day goes to Adam from Australia racing down the line on this right.  The waves should be small but super fun tomorrow, so make sure to check back with us.
