Nicaragua Surf Report for Saturday, February 06, 2021

Brian Scott

Bienvenido to the Saturday surf report! Wow, we are really blessed, it was yet another great gay of morning high tide waves and the surf was super fun with that magical morning light. Come on in and check it out!

Brian Scott

I like the mornings to mix it up from the afternoon since the light is completely different and it is perfect for the rights, which were firing today!

Brian Scott

Tropical warm water, nice offshore breezes, I’d say this was maybe around 10 o’clock in the morning. How was your Saturday morning?

Brian Scott

Devon getting in on it early and wow, what an amazing backdrop, eh?

Brian Scott

I’ll let you in on a little secret… it’s good to have a little birdie here or there around the playa to keep you posted as to when the waves are turning on and or there are plenty of people out in the water to go shoot. Emily could possibly be one of my little birdies??? ;)

Brian Scott

Quinn getting used to what I’m going to go out on a limb and say might be his new favorite wave.  This place is A LOT of peoples favorite surf destinations. The only difference is the people who managed to get here versus all the unfortunate people who haven’t been able to make it down in 202o or this new year.

Brian Scott

Cam (here) is with Quinn and Em too and they’re in surfing heaven right now. They also have something else that is beyond EPIC that they came down here to take care of business wise…. but that’s for me to know and I’m sure eventually for you to find out. Let’s just say, they’re three of my favorite little birdies right now! Jajajajaja

Brian Scott

John floating like a butterfly…..

Brian Scott

But here’s his same maneuver but from the other angle. However, he doesn’t sting like a bee. He’s a gentle giant who lets his surfing do most of the talking. I’d personally love one day to hear and be completely intrigued to hear him be a guest surfer on one of the many popular podcasts out there some day.

Brian Scott

You’re walking up to check the surf and you see this. What’s your immediate reaction??? GO!

Brian Scott

Not sure if you can zoom in enough to see to D-man throwing his super chill peace sign…. ?

Brian Scott

But it was a pose only long enough to roll through the fat section until he hit that inside bowl and now he’s ready to get groovy and pull into this little inside peeler!

Brian Scott

I wanted to mix it up so I started to make my way over to the lefts, which is also the backlit side of the morning time for shooting. Not quite all the way around the sand bar semi circle cove that makes up the rock reef at Pangas, but Em’s doing pretty good on this backside lengthy one, without grabbing rail too! Ya chica!

Brian Scott

The lefts were actually looking pretty fun!

Brian Scott

Yeah Devon, riding that classic outline of a board proper with that nice turn. Looks like you have a pretty nice section right ahead of you too.

Brian Scott

There’s actually another right at the very north end of PD’s that will usually just merge with the long lefts but there’s and inside bowl on this part of the wave that when its firing, like really good solid day…. is one of the best peaks to sit on out there! Hernan doing laps on a mediocre wave, but what he REALLY NEEDS are some proper barrels. That’s what he froths for the most here in Nica-Land!

Brian Scott

Pulling sick turns with a little wispy backwash for some added flare, while I pull focus manually.

Brian Scott

Oi hermano…. dale pues, vamos tio… es sábado y la vibra es super chill. Let’s party wave this thing dude!

Brian Scott

Gotta leave you on this Saturday with this sick little 3 photo sequence of one of the locals killing this inside section. Numero Uno!

Brian Scott

Numero Dos!

Brian Scott

Baaaammmm y Numero Tres!!!

Brian Scott

And just like that, he’s out… and so am I! Go enjoy the rest of the Saturday, be safe, have fun whatever it is you’re doing and I’ll see you all again here tomorrow. Buen resto del dia ~
