Nicaragua Surf Report for Tuesday, February 06, 2018

Brian Scott

Welcome to the Tuesday surf report. Just another fun filled day in the land of warm weather and waves. Today we had some playful chest to slightly bigger waves coming in with some strong offshores, let’s check it out.

Before you can paddle out though, you always have to prep your gear. The good ol’ wax it up ritual. Never seems to get old.

Brian Scott

I’m sure Lester waxes his boards fully from front to back, being that his arial and above the lip game is pretty extensive.

Brian Scott

This guys board of choice today was a fish, which actually usually does pretty well at this break.

Brian Scott

Plenty of people out enjoying the beautiful weather we had today.

Brian Scott

See what I’m talking about and how Lesther must wax the entire top of his board… He’s also seen here flying over a guy trying to get under the wave as opposed to straightening out to avoid him. Nice move buddy!!

Brian Scott

I wonder if someone can maybe lend Chocoyo a spring suit if you’ve got an extra one laying around. The kid can surf all day, but every time I see him out I ask him if he’s cold and he always replies…. “I’m Freezing!!!”

Brian Scott

Koji feeling all warm and cozy in his little spring suit. Making some bigger man carves despite his small frame size.

Brian Scott

Jenny was out there too, and without a rashie or springy?? I don’t know how you kids do it.

Brian Scott

Dario has been getting out there and getting all creative on his long board as of lately, but looks like he was taking some time to get creative behind the lens today. Te veo amigo!!! jaja

Brian Scott

Looks like the surf camp was packing it up for the day.

Brian Scott

But there was still quite a few people out shredding, so I figured I’d stay just a little bit longer, while there was still some sun light.

Brian Scott

This guys turn looked fantastic with all the golden hour light behind him with the spay…

Brian Scott

But that turn was actually intended to slow himself down as he saw this inside section was going to get all hollow make for a fun little barrel.

Brian Scott

Cesar aways like clock work, making some late afternoon turns.

Brian Scott

The lightning was getting all nice and warm right before the sunset.

Brian Scott

Making this view and the waves in this direction look pretty cool!

Brian Scott

Gavin jumped in right before the sun was about to call it a day. I can always count on getting some good shots of him (like this) anytime he paddles out.

Brian Scott

Ok amigos and amigas! Looks like it was a pretty fun day down at the playa! Thanks for checking in and hope to see you’ll back here again mañana! Buenas noches ~
