Nicaragua Surf Report for Saturday, February 06, 2016

Hello everybody and happy Superbowl weekend! This is Parker bringing you today's NSR report for southern Nicaragua. Check out our photos!

We have a minor groundswell from the SSW west sending us waves. It was consistently shoulder high and in the head high region on sets.

Come rent a longboard from NSR, you'll cruise down the entire wave and burgery sections. After you ride it all the way inside, be careful for the scattered rocks on the bottom!

Early this morning, the lefts tended to be hollower than the rights. When the tide filled in two hours later, the rights were going off! Despite being a point, this wave shifts and shows many personalities.

Currently, it is our dry windy season so you should take a couple extra paddles or catch the waves closer to the peak. It's a humbling feeling to miss the wave then be hit by 10 gallons of offshore spray...

Mike was the ripper for the second day in a row! This wave is paradise for those regular footers who love to carve, spray, and hack.

Powered by gallo pinto and pinollino, Mike blasted the corner. This is a great location to set up a photography session because your sprays looks twice as big (mostly because your power but also aided by the offshores).

How many waves do you see in this set? Unless you miss the weight room, don't get stuck inside. Instead, be patient outside and catch a fast bomb!

This fisherman went home with a swagger in his step. He is rocking the TNMT baggies and caught a snook.

The other fishermen were resting from their dive. This is the offseason for big game fishing (mahi, marlin, sail fish, tuna, and wahoo) but the inshore is firing right now! Set up a tour to troll or use a hand line and catch snapper, grouper, snook, mackeral, or a rooster fish!!

Ok todos, get out there for the rising tide! The waves will be fun, the wind will be dying (hopefully), and the water will be a clear blue. Enjoy amigos and thank you for checking out our report!
