Nicaragua Surf Report for Saturday, February 06, 2010

Hi fellas, this is Lucha Libre one more time, bringing you the Saturday surf report straight to your computers.  The waves were still small today but we had many fun ones to be taken.  It was running about knee to waist high with some sporadic chest high waves on sets and the wind was nice offshore.  Check out the lineup!!!

The waves were small and closing out a little bit, so that’s why today I decided to take a couple of closed-up shots.  We are going to start the day with this cool shot of Luis “La Baloy” Chamorro attacking the lip of this right with so much power and determination.

We want to give a special shout out to our really good friend Sergio “El Chelo” Lopez.  He’s been out of the country for the last few years and he just got back to spend a sweet vacation with his family down here in Nicaragua.  He was one of the first Nicaraguan surfers we had back in the 90’s, and he’s the one that pushed Rex “La Bestia” Calderon to be one of the best surfers in Nicaragua.  Welcome down buddy, hope you are having fun!

Talking about Rex, here he is busting a sick frontside aerial move on his brand new board.  I still don’t know how he does to make that kind of maneuvers of these kinds of waves.

We had a couple guys ripping on the big boards this morning.  Check out this unknown rider picking up one of the cleaner set waves of the day.  Hey dude, remember that we do have a couple of cool shots of you, if you want to check them out just let us know.

How about Lindsey “La Pinguinita” Chamorro bottom turning this nice looking right with a sweet style.  She is doing better now, and she’s only been surfing for almost a year.

A few jelly fishes showed out to the beach today and they were part of the action.   This girl was not lucky enough to stay away from them and got stunk.  Sorry lady!

Holly Molly, check out Austin our new friend from Texas with a killer hang five on the biggest set wave of the day.  That boy knows what he is doing, don’t you think so?

On the last surfing shot of the day we have “La Gaviota” Chamorro just seconds away to bust a cool 360’s inverted aerial.  They all were practicing very hard all their maneuvers because the National Surf Circuit is about to start.  You guys gotta keep working hard!!!

Alright folks, that’s all for today.  We are hoping to score some bigger waves in the next few days so please stay tuned with us.
