Nicaragua Surf Report for Sunday, February 05, 2017

Buenas a todos!  Welcome to another daily update from the Pacific coast of Nicaragua!  This is Eric posting up some shots from the beach this Sunday morning.  The waves are looking great, the wind is powerful, and the water is refreshingly chilly!

It can be tricky to get in with the wind blowing in your face, most of the time you drop in blind from all the spray hitting you! Sure does make for some good form though!

Jack and Glen were taking a stroll and enjoying the views this morning. Glen told me our setup here reminds him of pipe and sunset up the beach. Well, I think we’ve got it better!

This chap was staying low so the wind didn’t blow him off his board! Getting in early and setting up for the right in a good spot!

This reef can be shifty and sometimes you just have to be in the right spot with a little luck. Lots of sets were coming thru with nobody available!

This joven told me he was the security guard while the construction guys weren’t around! He didn’t mind me taking a few photos, he did ask me if I had a surfboard for him! Anybody have an extra?

This man caught a long right, all the way to the beach. It gets steep and hollow on the inside but he was just lounging!

He had some friends cheering him on from the beach so he went ahead and claimed it! Yeeeaa!

This guy has been teaching himself and I’ve been trying to catch a good shot of him the past few days. Hasn’t really happened yet, but I’ve gotta give it to him, He’s been putting in some effort and not passing up any waves that come towards him! Keep it up amigo!

Another lone peak coming in, making me want to run home and grab a board!

Down at the beach break, the locals were having fun on some fast hollow waves! Carlos floating around on this one!

When I first started surfing here, Oscar was just learning how to do turns and check him out now! The guy has been ripping!

Lots of places around the area are having super bowl fiestas tonight! Have a good time and enjoy the evening! Thanks for tuning in with us here at NSR! Stay safe my friends! Hasta luego!
