Nicaragua Surf Report for Thursday, February 04, 2021

Brian Scott

Welcome to the Thursday surf report AND what a report and day of wavs we had here today! No need for too much introduction as the pics should do justice by themselves. Cheerios!

Brian Scott

Bump in swell for the morning surf check….. Um YES!

Brian Scott

For those who made the early morning surf check (including myself) just at about the high tide shift, made a good call. Kenny about enter the Fun Zone!!!

Brian Scott

By the looks of this one, it may seem a little mediocre, but I only wanted to showcase this shot so you could see the comparison of the really nice bigger outside sets (which you’ll see shortly here).

Brian Scott

Offshores were already firing even before sunrise and to see the swell that was marching in, well let’s just say it was a beautiful thing this morning!

Brian Scott

These ladies have no idea how stoked you viewers are at what’s directly behind them. Which one would you like, the left or the right? (and I’m referring to the wave people not the ladies!) Hahaha

Brian Scott

You can see out the back how much wind there was already. It was howling, yet the waves were super groomed… a little racy on some of them, but man was it sick out there!

Brian Scott

Surf fast and go big with your maneuvers….a lot like skating!

Brian Scott

Here ya go…. how’s that for a little size ref. Paddle hard chica, there’s about 3 or 4 more out the back!!!

Brian Scott

I’m curious how the evening session might be looking right about now??? However, it felt really great to get out there and shoot with the opposite light and get in on some of that morning glory stuffs!

Brian Scott

It’s a bit thicker than it looks too. Take one of those on the head and you’ll be pushed back about a 100 yards, just in time for the 4 others behind it. Good times at the reef when it’s firing like this!

Brian Scott

Rob knows the drill….. turn and burn, or scratch and look back as hard as you can over the ledge of the first one, because you know that next one is a little further out and you maybe can make it if you’re a strong paddler, but most times, you’re gonna just get guillotined by the next wave in the set.

Brian Scott

Rob knows this wave and he hates when I put him on the report, but come on dude??? this inside floater section is absolutely SICK Brother!!!!

Brian Scott

If you opted for the right from my earlier question, you would have chosen wisely. The rights were a tad better and longer. Such a shame to see such a beauty slip away empty handed!

Brian Scott

The no-look shaka says it all, and I wish I could have stayed longer, but all the other daily duties were calling. Hey, maybe mañana will be the same or maybe bigger and better??? Let’s go check it…. hope to see you out there if you’re in the hood!  Bye bye for now ~
