Nicaragua Surf Report for Wednesday, February 03, 2016

Que tal primos?! Welcome to the mid week surf report with NSR. This is Parker updating you on today's pulse. Check out the shots!

When you are an NSR owner, one fringe benefit is free photos. Ok Pancho, show us whatcha got!!

Pancho picked off a peaky one and slipped in the backdoor. Should we bet against my boss and say he falls or does he make it? Keep scrolling down!

What is the NSR policy if I put a wipeout on the report???

Thankfully, we can cross that bridge later! He set his line, held on, and punched through to freedom.

Pancho canceled his workout to score a morning session. However, us big guys still focused on yoga and flexibility!!

Kevin, their talented trainer, was cool about it because that means he can paddle out too! Pancho and I worked on stretching and Kevin worked on power.

In between juggling work, raising their beautiful girls, and keeping Pancho in line, Heather still paddles out to catch set waves. Yeah Quesito!!!

Which water is prettier? The white spray blown out the back or the crystal clear ocean?

We enjoyed the SSW swell's forerunners this morning and we are excited to see it fill in tomorrow. Find a sandbar in great shape or a reef and you'll score!

This peak is very wedgy and tricky so you need to be in the right spot to catch you waves. Donald Stone shows how it's done.

If you are searching for mosquito protection like Donald, find a tube and hide out in it. No bug spray needed.

Yeww!! This man eats, breaths, and sleeps surf photography so we were stoked to get him on the other end!

Before the tide was right, we chatted with a few local fisherman. I expected Pancho to be smiling and happier after catching his very first lobster ever...

Mmmmm Mackeral, Snapper, one tuna, and a couple jacks. Talk to NSR if you want to catch some fresh fish tacos!

Back at the Volcom Pipe Pro Nicaragua qualifier, guess who found another gem? Keep clicking your down arrows.

Despite being a small wave spot, it's similar to Pipe. You will find your fair share of mean throaty left screamers.

If I call that wave and punchy exit a 10, can I get a raise???

Meanwhile, Hace Queso still enjoying her frontsiders. I call her Superwoman because she worked out and then surfed for almost two hours!

Jan from the Surf Sanctuary was filling his morning quota. His mustache gives him special barrel riding powers.

Jan runs their kitchen and makes delicious food. When the wave closes out, he cooks a floater special.

We met a new body boarder friend who navigated the almondy tubes. Reach out to me at [email protected] if you want your photos!

It is a fast and steep drop so bring a board with some rocker. Also, cut immediately from your standup to avoid a straight drop.

It's summer vacation in Nicaragua so the ninos are enjoying the beach. These two will be rippers in five years!

If you have an old board and extra bag space, you could easily stoke out a kid. Pass the good vibes onto the next generations, especially those who use half a board!!

After you hit the gas and escape the tube, look for the face. It, and the bystanders, are beckoning you to smash it!!

Then again, if the waves and wind are right, stay on the hunt for the barrels! The forecast shows light winds for the nex couple of days... Fingers crossed!

Sometimes in life, or on a left point, it can make more sense to go the opposite direction. That is especially true if you spray well.

Alright chicos and chicas, there is still plenty of sunlight and waves out front! Thank you for checking out today's report and check back tomorrow. Adios amigos!!
