Nicaragua Surf Report for Monday, February 02, 2009

HI everybody, we are the NSR family with the Monday surf report.  Today we drove up to Playa Maderas hoping to score some fun waves and we did.  It was running about waist to chest high on sets with offshore winds, the water warmed up a little bit and there were a few jellyfish around.  Check it out.

A couple of international surfers made it out to the beach and were taking tons of good ones with nice form.  Here we have this unknown surfer riding a small but sweet right.

Not many locals were able to paddle out today.  Norwin “El Chulin” Estrella took a ride with us to the beach and was trying to do some maneuvers on some of the better waves that were coming through.

This is Erick “La Salchicha Alemana” looking down the line on this wave.  He was super stoked to surf this morning because the lineup was not crowded so he took all the waves he wanted to ride.

We want to introduce Felipe “El Pipe” Camaleon, this little kid is only thirteen years old and he has been surfing for less than 3 months.  He enjoys surfing everyday, specialty when we don’t have crowd because he’s afraid to hurt somebody out there.

On the last surfing shot of the day we have Augusto “La Gaviota” Chamorro about to bust a nice air.  He keeps trying and trying everyday to improve his surfing skills.  Don’t give up my friend!!!

On the way back home we found this cute little monkey looking for his mom.  It looks like he was so hungry because he was eating all kind of stuff from the trees.

Alright folks, the swell is supposed to be hitting us tomorrow so we might have some really fun waves to take all day long.  Tonight we are going to aboard this beautiful boat because we are going to make a trip along the north coast so be sure to check back with us tomorrow because we are hoping to catch some head high waves with offshore winds.
