Nicaragua Surf Report for Sunday, February 01, 2009

Hi everyone and thank you for joining for the Sunday surf report.   Today we’ve got Jairo “Come Pan” with all the action from the beach.  When we got up there we found the lineup almost empty, just except a couple of surfers in the water.  The waves were still small but there were a couple fun sets coming in.  It was running about chest to shoulder high with some occasional head high waves, the wind was offshore and the water was chilly.  Check it out.

As we said before we had only a couple of surfers in the water taking advantage of the good moment with nobody else.  Here we caught one of them riding one of the bigger rights of the day.  This guy was more than happy surfing one of the main surf spot in town.

We did not catch a lot of surf action today but we were walking around and we met a lot of people on the beach hanging out and enjoying the beautiful day.  In this group shot we had the owner of one of the good restaurant in town and his family posing for the camera.

Here we have another sweet right, this time with nobody on it breaking all the way to the sand. As you can see in this shot, this couple are working hard to get a good ride on it.  But unfortunately they didn't catch it.  That is a really shame!!!

Today we went to around to the beach to take some skate action as well.  We wanted to introduce one of the amazing skateboarders from Canada, his mane is Mike Townsend who decided to visite his friend "The Crazy Dave" in Nicaragua and he wants to promote the skateboarding in our country like the surf as well.  Here he is showing us some of his skills with this sick back side BONELESS on this dangerous little ramp at Dave’s house.

Rex “La Bestia” Calderon decided to change the surf for some skateboarding today.  Here we have him with a sick front side air.  Rex said that skateboarding is easy like surfing.  Check out his beautiful face!!!

This is Al Garand doing a nice back side 5’0 GRIND in this interesting shot. Garand said the pain of the wipe out didn’t change anything because they were having fun in Nicaragua.  VIVA EL ROM FLOR DE CANA!!!

We want to leave you with another sick shot of Mike doing this time a nice KICK FLIP.  It was a nice to meeting you guys.  That's all for today folks.  The waves could be a little bit bigger tomorrow but do not complain because we are expecting to have a new swell in the water for the next few days.  Please, stay tuned with us.
