Nicaragua Surf Report for Monday, January 31, 2011

Pitaya festival is coming up.  Mark the dates and don't miss it!  This year features a Stand-up Paddleboard race too!

What’s up folks?  This is Lucha Libre Garcia with the Monday surf report from somewhere in the pacific coast, down south of San Juan del Sur.  The waves were small but there were still many fun ones coming in.  It was running about knee to chest high on sets with nice offshore winds and the water was a little chilly.  Check out this cool shot I got of the lineup with the water housing!!!

As I said before the waves were small but super fun.  This is La Gaviota Chamorro picking up a nice set.

A couple of water shots came out kinda cool.  This Juan “La Mosca” De la Perra about to throw the lip off the back on this little nugget.

La Bestia Calderon was doing his thing, ripping all over the place.  The waves were small today but I still had to fight the currents to not be blown to Costa Rica.

La Baloy Chamorro with a man fan spray on his backside.  All these guys are getting ready for the upcoming contest at Playa Hermosa.

Sergio “El Chelito” paddled out with all the kids and was able to catch some nice ones as well.  Check him out going big with a cool off the top.

Larry “Carita de Venado” Davila was laying down sick frontside turns on the lefts.  Here I caught him with one of the many sick ones he did.

Alfredo “El Manito” Peruano made it out on his longboard and rode a few nice ones.  Nice looking shot, uh!

Gainer “El Tapita” De Rana picking up one of the better set waves of the day.  Everybody was so stoked because everyone scored some fun ones.

The last shot of the day goes to La Gaviota Chamorro with a sweet aerial move.  That’s all for today folks, please check back tomorrow.
