Nicaragua Surf Report for Tuesday, January 27, 2009

Hi and thanks for joining us for the Tuesday surf report.  Today we get some work done on “El Burro” all the afternoon but we still were able to drive up to Playa Maderas right before dark to catch some fun waves.  It was running about waist to chest high on sets with offshore winds, the water was a little bit chillier than normal and tons of jellyfishes showed out in the lineup.  Check it out!!!

Did we say tons of jellyfish?  Here we have a shot of one of the many huge things that we had out there.

Couples of locals took a ride with us to the beach and were so stocked because the lineup was completely empty so they had all the waves by themselves.  This is “Carita de Venado” with a killer air maneuver.

Meanwhile Lucha Libre was taking some photos around our very own Come Pan was building his new house on the beach (Made of wood) because he wants to take advantage in the lineup tomorrow morning.  We don’t know if he has enough food for him or he would have to eat some crabs and jellyfish for the rest of the night. Good luck buddy!!!

It looks like this year we are going to have many ways to do surfing down here in Nicaragua.  Today this guy from USA showed out to the beach with this thing and was taking advantage of the wind conditions we had this afternoon.

“La Bestia” Calderon was part of the show this afternoon.  He paddled out very quickly because he had somebody waiting for him to warm him up after a chilly session.  Check out the next shot and you will know what we are talking about.

We want to give you an official new to everybody that checks NSR.  Young Rex is not going to be young anymore because now he has something to get older from.  He finally found a chick and he will be frying scramble eggs every morning.

There were some really sweet waves that rolled in with no takers at Machete Pt.  Codo was always close to there because he wanted to catch a couple of those waves but now he’s too heavy (eating pig with yucca) to paddle that fast.

There is nothing better like a sweet sunset shot to finish the day.  The waves are supposed to be about the same for tomorrow so be sure to check us back out.  We want to leave you guys with the tide chart for tomorrow.
