Nicaragua Surf Report for Thursday, January 12, 2017

What’s up everybody?! Welcome to the surf report for southern Nicaragua with Parker. Check out the shots of the new swell!

A small long period groundswell filled in overnight. Thankfully, Marc and Kimberly arrived here just in time to catch it. Welcome back down guys!!

David Brown is part of this crew from Virginia Beach. They rented an oceanfront house that looks directly into this wave. What more can you ask for on vacation?? Maybe the NSR meal plan and the massage girls??

On the same wave, Chris took off going the other direction. The spot is filled with a frames but it doesn’t peel perfectly along the reef (direction depending). Be careful getting stuck inside on a big set…

Or you might be coming in right after!! There’s a lot of water moving and pushing you inside so keep your eyes out and eat your gallo pinto before you surf.

Buttttttt, some of the waves hit the reef perfectly. Clase tubo!!!! No takers though…

Jack, the CIO of the EMHEC, is picky about his sessions. Chances are you timed your surf well if you see him walking out to the lineup. If you see him, send a nice left his way. Respect the generations before you, especially when they take care of the community you live in.

He’s a veteran (of many trades) so he’ll find his wave regardless. Good surfing with you this morning, Jack!

The waves were building and the wind was light but Phillip was relaxing on the beach. After a quick pep talk, he was back on there and finding long lines to cruise on. When faced with the decision to surf, always surf.

Now, the wind has picked up but I’m sure the tide is fun. Would you take long glassy lines or a bigger windier inside section with an occasional tubito? I’ll take the long frontside lines.

For the offseason, we call this a fun day. It isn't a pumping onseason day, but we'll take these waves with an empty lineup. Hopefully it stays good until the weekend!!

Marc, have you ever been in a Turkish prison? Because I’ll take that over this bomb detonating in front of you…

An unknown local boy slipped out on a fun board and showed off a refined style. Good stuff this morning amigo and hopefully see you around more!

Ok guys and gals, the waves are fun so we should be surfing instead of working. Keep an eye on the beach break or stay on this side of the beach if you prefer. Thanks for checking out today’s shots and stay tuned to see what the waves do tomorrow! Pasa un buen dia!!!
