Nicaragua Surf Report for Monday, January 11, 2021

Brian Scott

Hey there Monday surfistas, welcome to the daily photo visual presentation brought to you from your favorite Latin American spicy weblink saved on your computers browser, NSR aka “The Nicaragua Surf Report”! Today was small, like really small, so it’s a good thing we have a little more swell on the way, as in like tomorrow. Hopefully!

Brian Scott

Even the surfboards have been walking themselves down to the waters edge waiting patiently for someone….. any surfer to just ride them!

Brian Scott

Still some good good looking waves for 1-2 feet and plenty of clear water and LOTS of fish out there, so nows the time to get stocked up on your pedscado!

Brian Scott

Ahhhh…. See I do I know my 4 o’clock crew people or what? There’s almost always someone who’s gonna paddle out for the sunset. It’s just a given here!

Brian Scott

When small can still have that dreamy illusion to it. Without any surfers on it for proof of size, it could very well be portrayed as 3-4 and super clean and nice with light offshores and EMPTY! AND almost all of that was pretty much true except one thing. Haha

Brian Scott

Here’s proof of life with realmente size, but at least Emi had the perfect board for todays conditions.

What do you do for work, or in this case watcha do to get your food for the day…..???? “Ahhhhh, ya, I go out and fish, ahhh on a panga or from a nice charter double decker….? Nahhh dog, I go wade up to my chest without a fishing pole or any fancy fishing lures or bait and use my bare hands and bring in some really nice catches of the day for me and my family and little finca I live in up on the hillside”.

How you do????

Brian Scott

Someone’s always appointed the running back. It’s not football season here….. it’s fishing season and this guy’s definitely not a bench warmer!

Brian Scott

It’s pretty far off in the distance, but that’s the official Don Eloy’s Surf/Fish/Ocean Excursion and exclusive D.E. party ocean craft. I mean, you can’t have a proper restaurant and serve up proper fish plates OR more importantly, insanely fresh kick A$$ sushi items on your menu without a boat named after your restaurant!?!?!

Brian Scott

OK, back to what you all really come here to look at….. surfing and waves….. Mmmmmm but that sushi got me thinking and way off track, but ya, here’s some more nice looking fun little waves for you to think about and that sushi tooo!

Brian Scott

I’ll still always love the Pangas 1-2 foot forecast. Haha it’s so not right. But you gotta imagine when this place goes richter and the winter swells (or better known as those purple blobs) way out at sea send us 15-18 + pushing 20 + foot faces at this wave magnet. It’ll make those little fear factor hairs on your arms or neck stand straight up and your pucker tucker sphincter flinch like your first time walking into a hardcore prison.

Brian Scott

OUTSIDE!!!! A Good one coming in buddy…. paddle out quick you can catch that thing!!!!

Brian Scott

See, I knew you could catch it! NOW enjoy that long walled up but always looks like it’s gonna close out but it won’t at least until the very end all the way down the beach.

Brian Scott

That is…. if you happened to totally luck out and get covered up on that one inside section that can and will barrel. Trust me when I say this section get’s better as the month will go on and into Feb and March too. It’ll start to look like a little skate park out here on certain days with the right tides and of course swell… it’s gonna be a fun summer out here I can already feel it!

Brian Scott

Punching the clock (never) but cracking an ice cold Toña is almost just as a requirement to prove you have officially ended a long and hard, good days work! Salud ~
