Nicaragua Surf Report for Wednesday, January 08, 2020

Brian Scott

Happy hump day folks! We had some XS surf out there, but with it came with some nice clean conditions and hardly a single person out the entire day.

Brian Scott

This is the smallest I’ve seen from December to now. BUT…. it’s not flat if there’s even an inkling of something to ride out there. So I still can’t call it FLAT!

Brian Scott

Like, look at this wave here… I know people in Southern California who would be frothing on surfing a wave like this anytime.

Brian Scott

But the reality is…. around here, people always go find other things to do when it’s 1-2 foot.

Brian Scott

The good news is there’s a fun little new swell on the way. Should be here around the 12th or 13th.

Here’s what “Flat” Perfection looks like coming from 210 SSW @ 11 seconds.

Brian Scott

Here’s what Danai looks like on the same kind of wave.

Brian Scott

Here’s the other swell that was in the water coming from 285 WNW @ 15 seconds. Too bad it’s also the one that got away!

Todays tide brought to you by this 95% Full Waxing Gibbous space nugget.

Why go left when you can go go RIGHT? Even though it’s not actually correct? Because this kid really wanted to get barreled, that’s why!

Brian Scott

Goodbye Mr. Sun! And goodbye my devoted readers. I look forward to seeing you again tomorrow. G-night ~
