Nicaragua Surf Report for Thursday, January 06, 2011

Welcome to another surf report from down here in Nicaragua.  We’ve got Roberto Lucha Libre Garcia throwing a couple pics in.  The swell was pumping all day long and we took advantage on that.  We drove up north trying to score some sick waves and we did.  It was well over head on sets with nice offshore winds and the water was a little chilly.  Check out the lineup, right in front of the brand new NSR House.

Lots of water was moving around this morning and the currents were pretty strong, so it was very hard to find the spot to pick up some of the better ones.  This is Carlitos Caliente dropping into a nice sized right hander.  This wave was easily double over head and Carlitos was charging.

Codo and Carlitos had the whole spot to themselves and they had a good time in a couple waves they took.  This could be your sit on the next vacation trip you have this year.  The sick NSR brand new house has a killer swimming pool right in front of the beach and it is waiting for you.  Make your reservations through [email protected].

We moved up a little bit more north to check a couple other spots out and they were going off.  Lefts and rights were coming in all over the place and the lineup was not busy at all.  Check out this dude picking up a nice line.

Our very good friend Armando “El Codo” Lopez paddled out on his classic board and he was charging.  Here he is waiting for the barrel section on this beautiful left.

A few longboarders made it out and were able to ride some nice ones as well.  What a nice looking right, uh!

There were even some sick waves rolling in by the river mouth and nobody was out there.  You just had to pick a way to go.  Go left or right!!!

It was nice to see all those guys ripping it up all over the place.  This is Manuel form Argentina with a sick round house.

It is not easy to get shack at this spot but this guy found a couple of the better sections.  Here he is charging on this huge section.

Outter reef was also doing its thing on the bigger sets.  Hey Monito, where you are my friend?

Sick waves and cute girls are always the best things on the beach, and today we had a little bit of everything.  Yes friend!!!

Mario “El Danino” Martinez took a ride with us and paddled out to destroy a couple peelers.  Here he is caught with this sweet backside spray.

An amazing off the top, as the last action shot of the day.  The waves are supposed to be about the same sized tomorrow so stay tuned with us and remember that you can score some of these waves this year, so come down and have fun.
