Nicaragua Surf Report for Monday, January 04, 2010

What’s up fellas?  We are the NSR Family bringing you all the action for this Monday surf report.  The waves were small making it hard for shortboarders but it was perfect for longboarders.  It was running about knee to waist high on sets with super nice offshore winds.  Check out the lineup!!!

Our very own D-lite paddled out and rode a couple of fun ones all the way in to the beach.  Check him out having a blast on one of the better lefts we had coming in.

A good crowd showed out to the beach today and was enjoying the beautiful and sunny day.  Here we have this shot of the scene.  What a nice way to start the year,uh!

Quite a few locals jumped out in the water and were able to score some fun ones.  This is Cirilo “El Chirizo” Chorizo looking down the line of this nice form wave.

Super Cana was ripping on some of the better waves we had rolling through.  Here he is going big with a powerful backside turn.   Check him out ladies!!!

We met a few guys from New Zealand this afternoon.  This is Jeremiah riding one of the better waves of his life.  He’s been surfing just a few days down here in Nicaragua, never been in touch with a board before and today he killed it.  Way to go buddy!!!

On the last shot of the day we have “La Gaviota” Chamorro showing us how is done when the waves are small.  The waves are supposed to be small for the next few days, so wax your longboard up and go to the beach.
