Nicaragua Surf Report for Monday, January 02, 2017

Hello NSR community and welcome to a new week of NSR surf reports! This is Parker signing in for a quick update so check out our photos!

There is not a lot going on in the ocean. In our standards, we call this flat and a work all day. However, there is still a fun bump to be had.

A group from Costa Rica was stoked to get on it! They were stoked to surf this wave by themselves.

And to have some frontside cruisers.

The middle of the reef to the inside section has been really fun lately. It’s a magnet so this spot always picks up more swell than other spots.

Ummm did somebody say something about rolling rights? I took out my longboard and I was constantly surfing a wave and then paddling back out for the next one and then sliding into the next roller. Rinse and repeat…

The offshore winds are back. It was heavy early in the morning until early afternoon. Mid afternoon to sunset usually (especially today) has a fun glass off.

Throughout the past week, our clients have been enjoying the beach- even if the winds were heavier. Almost everybody is getting ready to leave so we wish you guys safe travels!

This week’s forecast is not exciting. We should have more swell next week but it’ll be small for now. Therefore, talk to us at the NSR shop. We’d love to make recommendations for day trips, activities, or places to see. Even when the surf is small, we have you covered.

Or, keep an eye on the beachie at the far end of the beach… Alright ladies and gentlemen, I’m going to finish up and make it out for another beautiful sunset. We appreciate you guys checking out today’s shots and stay tuned throughout the week! Pasa una buena noche amigos!!
