Hello everyone, this is Baldo reporting from Santana beach. This morning the waves were dropping in size and the small period brought plenty of waves all over the place.

Even though it was 8 in the morning, the sun was already getting hot and all the spectators were well protected under the trees without missing any of the action.

Besides the size, the waves were super fun and everyone was catching wave after wave with no time to rest.

“El Matador” was out today practicing his backside which is a rare thing of him, he is always at first peak looking for the lefts no matter the conditions.

Another surfer having fun today… this one was more towards the center of the beach catching the rights.

With these conditions is kinda normal to see incidents like this… people dropping in on other people’s waves, but in general, nobody gets mad, just kick out and say you are sorry and everyone will stay happy.

Lenin is one of the locals that are almost every day out here. He is good and knows very well these waves.

As you can see, even though it was not big, there was plenty of wall on every wave to tear it apart with a few turns per ride.

This girl was ripping hard today, she was moving up and down the beach, catching a lot of waves wherever she was and doing all kind of turns on every wave.

Aurelia “the mermaid” was killing it too. Remember, if you are in need of a good yoga instructor, Aurelia is the one to call. Every Saturday at 8 am at the Surf Sanctuary, come check her out, I mean, her class.
